Product Review: Mizani Rose H2O Conditioning Hairdress
I’ve been battling dry hair for the last few months. The particularly cold weather and indoor heating are taking their toll. Even after getting a haircut, but split ends were out of control. While trolling the aisles of my local Ulta for a solution, I saw a discount table and couldn’t resist. What better way to try out a product than when it’s on sale. If it doesn’t work, then you don’t have to worry about wasted money.
I picked up a set of Mizani’s Rose H2O Conditioning Hairdress and H20 Intense Night-Time Treatment. I suspected these products were created for African-American hair, but I was sold on the thick, delicious smelling pots of cream.
A quick look online when I got home confirmed that Mizani is a L’Oreal brand designed for African-American hair’s unique needs. Since the products do not contain any color, I didn’t think they’d be a problem on my naturally blonde hair.
I am so glad I did! The Rose H2O Conditioning Hairdress smells lightly of roses and has a thick, smooth consistency. A little of this miracle cream goes a long way (as I realized after the first time of using too much and ending up with slightly greasy hair). I’ve been applying a pea-sized amount to the ends of my long hair before blow-drying and in the morning if I’m not going to wash my hair, to help add some moisturizer to the ends.
(I’ve also been using the H20 Intense Night-Time Treatment, but I’ll discuss it in a separate review.)
After blow-drying, my hair is incredibly soft and very fainty scented with rose. When applied to dry hair, the scent is a little stronger and my ends don’t feel crispy at the end of the day.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has dry hair problems – regardless of ethnicity. The regular price of a jar may seem a little pricey, but with the tiny amount needed, I know this will last me for years.
