We’ve all experienced a makeup meltdown. At the temperatures rise, it’s hard to stay looking fresh-faced. Check out these great tips for keeping your makeup in place this summer.

You may not have heard of Atopalm before, but if you have sensitive skin, pay attention. Atopalm is a line specifically designed for sufferers of sensitive and dry skin. Using heavy moisturizers on dry skin can often irritate sensitive types, but other formulas for sensitive skin often fall short in the moisturizing department.
The body wash comes in a slightly unwieldy pump bottle. But the soap-free formula does a good job of foaming. It contains lavender and rosemary essential oils, but the wash seemed unscented to me. I felt clean after using it and it didn’t dry out my skin.
The lotion contains what they call Patented MLE (Multi Lamellar Emulsion) Technology which contains squalane, grape seed, macadamia nut and sunflower oils, licorice root, vitamin E and allantoin (to soothe and help stimulate the growth of healthy skin). The lotion had a slightly medical smell to it, but it disappeared soon after applying. Otherwise a great
moisturizer that is not oily and lasted all day.
I don’t have sensitive skin, so I can’t attest to whether it works well for sensitive skin, but I do suffer from dry skin and the combination of the body wash and lotion left my skin well moisturized for 24 hours - no scaly looking dry patches the next morning before my shower.
Atopalm is from the same makers as the T’Fivve line of anti-aging products for people with sensitive skin (search for T’Fivve on my site to see reviews of their products) and as far as I can tell, they are only available from www.skinscientifica.com. The site also has a pretty in depth section that gives a scientific explanation of skin’s structure and how these products work on it.

I’m a sucker for beauty products that come in innovative packaging. When I saw Avon’s new Pro-To-Go Lipstick, I had to try it out. The sleek little case has a slider on it that pops open the lid, pushes up the lipstick holder and then the lipstick comes out.
The lipstick itself goes on smooth and is creamy, but not too thick. The colors are slightly sheer. I tried the color Fruit Punch, which, although it looks pretty bright, wore a little more subtle. I like too that this lipstick has SPF 15. It was pretty moisturizing too, making it a great all in one product.
The packaging, easy one handed opening, moisturizing and SPF make this a great throw in the purse and use on the go lipstick.
