Product Review: Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick

It seems that every new product that comes out does something fancy.  Sometimes you just want a good, old fashioned tube of lipstick.  When I got to try out Avon’s Ultra Color Rich Lipsticks, my first though was that they looked like the tubes I remember my mom wearing when I was younger.   The black, no frills packaging and simple twist up tube was something I realized I haven’t seen in a while.

The consistancy of the lipsticks was a bit of a blast from the past too.  Thick, rich formula and heavily pigmented colors were a surprise.  I’d gotten so used to lightweight glosses and sheer colors, that I’d forgot lipstick could be like this.  And I was pleasantly surprised.  While some of the darker shades looked better on me if I applied them a little more lightly or blotted, the colors generally looked very natural.  The formula was rich and moisturizing and the color lasted a lot longer than any other lipstick I’ve tried lately.
