Got A Sweet Tooth? Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Crave Relief
I’ve always had a pretty strong sweet tooth. Despite being a pretty healthy eater, I definitely consume way too much sugar. Being pregnant isn’t helping either. I generally give into every craving I have, just a little (except the alcohol, sushi, other no-no’s cravings, of course). But I know I’ll need to rein my will power back in here soon to help me loose the baby weight, so I gave Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Crave Relief a try.
This aromatherapy is very easy to use. It comes in a rollerball vial, so applying it to your wrists is a sinch and it is super portable – toss it in your purse and have it available all day.
I generally want something sweet right after a meal and when I start to feel tired mid-afternoon. I tried applying the oil each time I wanted a treat for a few days. I liked the grapefruit scent and found it pleasant to inhale. The biggest drawback is that you apply it to your wrists and then have to raise your wrist to your nose and inhale. I had to do this a couple of times until my craving passed, as the scent wasn’t strong enough to reach my nose when I was working at my desk.
The scent didn’t seem to last very long, but that might be a good thing – you might get tired of it if you aren’t a big grapefruit fan. The scent did help tone down my cravings a bit. It did make me want fruit, which is a great, healthy way to give into that sugar urge. I was able to hold out for a while against sugar, but eventually did give into a few pieces of dark chocolate. I do think, though that I generally ate less candy when I did give into my cravings.
Bath & Body Works also makes Aromatherapy rollers for Headache Relief, to help you Sleep and for an Energy Boost. Have you tried any of these? How’d they work for you?
