With the state of our economy these days, it seems like everyone is watching their spending a little more closely. But you don’t have to give up on any of your beauty treats – just tweak them a bit. One thing you can do is go longer between colorings. There are a variety of root touchup’s out there, but one I tried recently has a big range of colors and looks pretty natural.
ColorMark’s Temporary Hair Color comes in 12 shades, including many lighter ones. Finding gray coverup for lighter hair can be a challenge – it makes me wonder if manufacturers don’t think fair haired ladies show gray. Sure it might not be as noticable as on a brunette, but if you want to hide your grays, you should be able to. I don’t have any gray’s yet (knock on wood), so I can’t attest to how well this product can hide them, but I did try a few shades on my fair hair and the results were good!
I tried the shades of Light Auburn, Ash Blonde, Really Red, Golden Blonde and Strawberry Blonde. All looked very natural – in fact I discovered another purpose for them. You can used them to add different shaded highlights to your hair. Sure it’d be a lot of work to add them, but for a fun change it wouldn’t take any longer than curling straight hair or a fancy updo.
To apply this color, you hold the included comb at your roots. Then apply the color to the gray area with the lipgloss-like wand and let dry for 1 minute. The comb prevents the color from getting on your scalp and then can be used to brush through the colored hair. If you don’t comb or brush out the hair, it can be a little crispy. But once combed out, the hair is soft and the color didn’t flake off. To remove, you just shampoo it out. For root coverage, all you need to do is around your hairline and part – no need to do your entire head, unless you flip your hair around a lot.
Be the first to leave a comment with your interest in one of the colors I mentioned above and it’s yours! I’ll contact you for your name and e-mail address and then send it out to you.
