Add A Little Sparkle For The Holidays: Givenchy Limited Edition Makeup

I love this time of year when it comes to beauty and fashion.  I don’t know about you, but I get more dolled up in December than any other month of the year.  There are some many parties to go to and they are a great excuse to wear your cutest party clothes and most fun makeup.  For me, sparkly things feature heavily.  But I do have to be careful – you want your bling to be subtle and festive.

One of my favorites this season has been the shimmery makeup from Givenchy.  There are two options for lips in the Limited Edition Christmas 2008 Collection.  I love the Pop Gloss in Rose by Night.  It’s a light pink gloss with a golden shimmer.  It has a nice nude look, but also works well over most of my favorite lipsticks to give them that night out on the town glimmer.  The gloss lasts a long time, isn’t sticky, moisturizes and smells a little bit like fruit.  I have to warn you though – if you kiss someone they will also have long lasting shimmer on their lips.  Husbands do not seem to like this very much.

The Rouge Interdit Shine lipstick has two new shades in the holiday collection.  I like the Rose shine.  This is a moisturizing lipstick in a soft rose shade with a whole lot of sparkle.  This lipstick also comes in a cute tube that snaps into a transparent purple cover.  It has a little ribbon attached to it pull out the lipstick.  It’s a fun little accessory to pull out for touchups in the ladies room.

The Mister Bright Pen is a highlighter that comes in any easy to use pen with an attached brush.  I like to use this luminescent shade under the arch of my eyebrows, in the inner corner of my eyes and on top of my cheekbones.  I think it helps me look refreshed and more awake – a good thing as the party season wears on and the fatigue starts to show.  The brush is a nice feature on the pen to help dispense the product, but I think it looks more natural to then blend it in with your fingers.
