Healthy Hair Starts At The Roots With Root Awakening From John Frieda

When I first saw the new Root Awakening line from John Frieda, I though it was a volumizing line. Which was confusing since they came out with a volumizing line this past summer. Upon further observation, I realized this line is about having healthier hair – starting with the roots. Like fertilizer for your hair if you will. Which is a good place to start, since your existing hair is actually dead and can’t be made healthier. But you can grow healthier hair. Obviously your diet has a lot to do with the health of your hair, but you can help it out with this line of products.

I tried out the Health Infusing Shampoo and Conditioner and Health Boosting Detangling Spray. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a nice light scent with eucalytus and peppermint. The shampoo had a good lather and is gentle enough to use on colored hair. The conditioner is very rich and left my hair super soft. My hair tends to be dry, so I thought I might need the Nourishing Moisture formulas, but the Health Infusing formulas for normal hair, left my hair soft and feeling great.

The detangling spray also has a nice fresh scent and a spray nozzle that is designed for you to aim the spray at your roots. You spray some on your roots, comb it through and it leaves vitamins on your hair. It also helps protect your hair from heat styling tools. I found the conditioner to be smoothing enough that I didn’t need the detangling of the detangling spray, but it was nice to have the heat protection for styling my hair. And my hair was super smooth after blow-drying (usually it’s a bit frizzy). My hair also felt light a seemed to have a bit more volume. My husband thought my hair smelled great.
