More Affordable Natural Products: Jergens Natural Moisturizers
Drugstore brands have been jumping on the natural and botanical bandwagon lately. But it can be tough to tell how natural their products really are, since using the tern “natural” isn’t regulated like organic certifications are. So I was happy to see that Jergen’s line of Natural Moisturizers tells you, right on the bottle, the percentage of natural ingredients that they contain. AndI think it’s a good start. The more natural ingredients companies start to use, they better off we’ll all be. I hope this trend continues to grow!
I tried 3 of the 4 formulations and found that all worked well and smelled great. All had a slightly gel-like consistancy that absorbed quickly, didn’t leave a greasy residue and kept my skin well moisturized all day. Each had a light fruity/floral smell that seems to vaugely match the each variety’s key ingredients. I tried Hydrate (92% natural) with jojoba oil, agave and cactus extracts, which did seem to be a richer formula, Renew (93% natural) with grapeseed oil, blueberry and pomegranate extracts which smelled very fruity and Refresh (93% natural) with natural aloe vera, mint leaf and white tea extract and had a very refreshing scent. They also offer Sooth (93% natural) with yogurt, chamomile and soy extracts and is aimed at relieving dry, irritated skin.
I liked all 3 that I tried, so I can’t really recommend one over the others. You may find one fits your specific skin needs best. Or maybe you’ll let your nose decide which you want to try most.
