I’ve always been interested in Jurlique products. This Australian company grows their own biodynamic and organic ingredients as well as sourcing ingredients from other farms and fair trade organizations. I got a good introduction to their products with the Purely Age Defying Hand Treatment. This super rich hand cream is chock-full of natural ingredients: daisy and biodynamic licorice and black elder to help fade discolorations, even skin tone and brighten skin, biodynamic marshmallow, calendula and organic sunflower oil to soften and soothe dry hands and melon extract to moisturize. The box the tube came in is made of recycled materials and prined with vegetable-based inks – these guys are serious about being kind to the earth!

The cream has a strong, herby, woodsy, flower scent that I can’t quite put my finger on. I like the smell, but it can be overpowering if you are trying to wear anything else scented. I love the moisture in this cream though! The thick formula is easy to dispense from its tube and a little goes a long way. It absorbs well and leaves a little bit of a slickness on your skin. I’ve been using this on my feet too – loving applying it at night to help keep my feet as nice and soft as my hands. The pretty and simple design on the tube also makes it a display on the desk, not hide in the drawer, kind of hand cream. And living in a granola-y town, the ingredients list give me a lot of street cred.
