I love when you can get travel sizes of nice products to take on trips with you. I also love when products use natural and botanical ingredients. Put them together and what have you got? Bipit, bopity… Philip B. Botanicals Travel Kit. This little travel kit contains more than you really need to travel – you can pick and choose what products you want to take along. It has 2oz bottles of each: Peppermint & Avocado Volumizing & Clarifying Shampoo, Nordic Wood Hair & Body Shampoo, African Shea Butter Gentle & Conditioning Shampoo and Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme Rinse.

So really, you have 3 shampoos to choose from. The Peppermint & Avocado Volumizing & Clarifying Shampoo is a real pick me up. If you know your trip will leave you a little sleep deprived, add this one to your beauty bag. The Peppermint is super refreshing and left my scalp (pleasantly) tingling long after I’d rinsed the product out. I had some trouble with this one lathering, so I had to use quite a bit of it to get all of my scalp soaped up. But it did leave my hair feeling super clean, looking shiny and with a little extra bounce.

The Nordic Wood Hair & Body Shampoo is a crowd pleaser. Both my husband and I really liked it, although I would definitely say it is a more masculine product. First you get the multi-tasking genius of shampoo and body wash in one (guys love this) and then the formula smells like a pine forest. It’s a fresh fir tree smell that almost smells like Christmas, except you don’t have any other spices thrown in. The scent is super invigorating and my husband noted that it lathers wonderfully – better than any of the other shampoo/body washes that I’ve given him to test out in the past.

The African Shea Butter Gentle & Conditioning Shampoo and Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme Rinse seemed like a set to me, even though I used the conditioner with the other shampoos. They both have a light, sweet scent and contain shea butter. The shampoo is a nice moisturizing formula that left my hair soft and clean. The conditioner is definitely light-weight. I left it on for a few minutes and still felt like it did an average job of conditioning. Not deep conditioning, but that’s alright by me.

I’m actually going to take the whole kit when we go to see the in-laws in a few weeks. Peppermint Shampoo for me, since this trips always wear me out, and the conditioner because who can’t live without conditioner. Nordic shampoo/body wash for the hubby and the Shea Butter Shampoo is gentle enough to use on the baby.
