Take Advantage Of Cooler Weather With Your Man and Aromatherapy Sensual Jasmine Vanilla Sugar Scrub

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy line is my favorite of their scented lines. An old favorite is the Jasmine Vanilla line. I first bought the lotion and massage oil about 5 years ago. The sweet and spicy scent is great as the weather turns colder (it can be a bit much during the warmer months). I hadn’t tried the Sugar Scrub yet, but recently gave it a go.

My skin seemed to be looking dull lately. My legs aren’t seeing as much sun and I hadn’t been up with the exfoliation. This sugar scrub is made with sugar, sunflower, safflower, sweet almond and jojoba oils and contains that strong Jasmine Vanilla scent. Since the scent is so strong, I decided to use it at night, lest I smell a little too sensual for work.

The scrub comes in a large screw top top. I had to mix it with my hand to incorporate the oils that had risen to the top, before scooping some out. The sugar crystals are large and pretty scratchy – you don’t have to put any elbow grease into it, but it also is a bit rough on some more sensitive spots. The sugar doesn’t dissolve too quickly, which allowed me to really spread it around, but then it didn’t rinse off very easily either. The oils definitely stayed put and I had to wash my hands down with soap before getting out of the shower. The tub was a bit tricky to wrangle in the shower and I almost spilt the whole thing twice while trying to hang on to my scooped out product while closing the lid and not getting any water in it.

After getting out of the shower, my skin was very oily. I just patted my skin dry and didn’t apply any lotion. The scent from the scrub was still super strong on my skin and my husband said I smelled “delectable”. It’s been 3 days since I used the scrub and my bathroom still smells like Jasmine Vanilla. That could have something to do with the oil slick left in the bottom of the shower. My husband almost ate it when he stepped into the shower the next morning. My skin wasn’t as greasy, as the oils had absorbed overnight. The scent had mellowed on my skin and my skin was soft all the next day. The scrub had also done a good job of buffing away the dullness.

The scrub did a good job of scrubbing and a great job of moisturizing. A word of caution though – make sure you like the scent (they make the scrub in the other Aromatherapy scents too) and a heads up on the messiness factor.
