A Touch Of The Exotic: Kings & Queens Shower Gel

NefertitiA while back, Korres launched a line named Kings & Queens. The body care products from Greece use the herbs and spices that were once treasured by royalty to now make showergels, body milks and body butters.  Each product is based on a royal (or group of royals) and contains a specific ingredient or two, but all of the products contain pomegranate, blue Egyptian lotus, malachite and oils of hazelnut, grape, sunflower and avocado.  And as a bonus, they are all mineral oil and paraben-free.

In the past I’d tried a few of the products and wasn’t super wild about them. Blame my over sensitive pregnancy nose, but some of the scents were too strong. I almost didn’t try the two showergels that I received samples of, worried that I wouldn’t like the scents. Boy am I glad I tried them! The scents are delicious! I think of the them as my energizing and relaxing shower gels now. George III Lime is named after the monarch who ordered 18th century sailors to consume lime juice daily to prevent scurvy. Nefertiti Honey smells like real, delicious honey.  Honey was a staple in the beauty regiment of this famous wife of an Egyptian pharaoh.

The shower gels themselves are thick and rich even though they are clear (well, lime and honey tinted clear). They spread around and foam easily. The also rinse off easily, but leave my skin feeling soft and clean (no over drying here).  The product scent is great in the steam of a shower and leaves a faint scent on my skin that doesn’t interfere with my other scented products. Kings & Queens offers 10 varieties of shower gels, so if lime and honey aren’t your thing, you are sure to be able to find a scent that makes you feel like royalty.
