The acai berry has to be one of the most popular ingredients in the beauty biz right now. Whether you are munching dried berries or using their extracts in you face cream, you just can’t escape them. And really, there’s no reason you’d want to. These anti-oxidant powerhouses are packed with nutrients and help fight off skin damaging free radicals. Kiehl’s has created a whole line of skincare products showcasing these little red berries.
I tried out the Damage-Minimizing Cleanser and Damage-Correcting Moisturizer (there’s also a toner and serum). The cleanser comes in a foam pump. I love this type of dispenser, it pre-foams the cleanser for you and also uses only a tiny bit of product, making it last a lot longer. It is 58.3% organic and is meant to clean and sooth skin. In addition to acai extract, it contains rosemary essential oil, aloe vera juice, orange fruit water and lavender. The smell is very herb-y and is a refreshing change against all of the fruity/florally products we normally see. The cleanser felt light on my skin and rinsed off easily. My skin felt a bit dry afterwords, which is unusual for my oily skin. But once I added the moisturizer, it felt great again.
The moisturizer is 79.7% organic and contains acai extract, aloe vera juice, shea butter, rosemary essential oil, orange fruit water and lavender. This rich moisturizer also smell very herb-y – like the rosemary and lavendar – but in a fresh way. Although thick, the moisturizer smoothed on easily, absorbed quickly and let my skin feeling lightly moisturized. And even with the shea butter in it, the formula says it won’t clog your pores.
I haven’t used these products long enough to see any difference in damage correction, but I do know that anti-oxidants are a good thing when it comes to skin care. I like that I can get them in formulas that aren’t heavy with moisturizers and work a light touch on my touchy skin.
Some other great things about this line is that all of the product’s plant ingredients are certified organic and they are also Cradle to Cradle gold certified. This means that the are eco-friendly: minimal impact on creating the products with environmentally safe ingredients, packaging and in the energy used to produce them. Check out Amazon’s price now!

Thank you for your review. I have been looking for actual user reviews of this line and could find any, until now.
nice review, I want to try the cleanser.
I just started using the Khiel’s Acai skincare line and I love the product. My skin feels thoroughly clean and moisturized. I have the cleanser, toner, moisturizer and serum ( I use them in that order). I have also tried other Khiel’s products and I have been very happy. So I have decided to get serious about my skincare regimen and wanted a company that used natural products and had a good reputation.
Just my 2 cents, but this acai berries stuff really works. I have tried it and am full of great energy. I adore it. Thanks a tonne!
