A Skin Splurge: Rodial Creme de la Creme

Rodial CremeI go through a LOT of body lotion. I usually buy the big bottles from the drugstore and can easily use one up on a few months. I live in a dry climate and religiously apply moisturizer after every shower. So when I got a chance to try Rodial’s Creme de la Creme moisturizer, the small bottle made me think “ha! That’ll last a week”.

This moisturizer is a firming body cream, made with shea butter and vitamin E. The formula is rich, but light allowing a little bit to go a long way. After using this lotion all over for a week, I’ve only put a small dent in this bottle. The formula smooths on easily and absorbs quickly. It leaves my skin soft, but without that slightly sticky feeling some other moisturizers can leave. The moisture did last all day and I’ve had no problems with skin drying out and becoming itchy – maybe that has something to do with the formula also helping to calm irritated skin. The smells is a bit powdery for my tastes, but dissipates quickly after application.

I don’t have too many wiggly bits, so it’s tough to say if I’ve experienced any firming. I am liking the moisturizing benefits of the lotion. At $45 for 6.8oz, it’s definitely a splurge!
