Sensitive Skin? Here’s a SIMPLE Solution!

Simple facewash

Simple isĀ  UK brand that got imported stateside last year. The company’s Kind To Skin line is free of perfumes and dyes and formulated for sensitive skin. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the UK and I’ve run out of all of the Simple products I got last time I was there, so I’m excited to see more available here. The only draw back is they are currently only being sold at the Duane Reade drugstores in New York City.

I was lucky enough to snag the Refreshing Face Wash and Soothing Facial Toner through a PR rep for Simple, since I live in Colorado. I’m loving these two products. The face wash is a soap free formula, so it won’t strip your skin or irritate it. It contains pro-vitamin B5 to help with moisturizing. Even though it is perfume free, it does have a nice light scent and does feel pretty refreshing. It foams really well for being soap free and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.

I usually don’t use toner, but the Soothing toner is alcohol-free, so I don’t need to worry about it drying out my skin. It has a similarly light scent to the face wash and has a great squirt top – perfect for applying just the right amount to a cotton ball or pad. The formula also contains chamomile to sooth the skin and witch hazel to tighten pores. It was these two ingredients that really have been enticing me to use the toner on my acne prone skin.

If you have sensitive skin but aren’t lucky enough to live near a Duane Reade and have no plans to visit NYC (or the UK for that matter) any time soon, you may just need to make friends with a New Yorker so they can ship you some Simple products!
