Plump Your Pucker Without The Sting: Erno Laszlo’s TranspHuse Lip pHixative

TransphuseI tried a few lip plumpers a few years back when they first hit the market and were the hot new thing. I like my lips, but wanted to see what all the fuss was about – do they really work? Will the plumping be noticeable? Honestly, all I noticed were stinging lips – one containing ingredients so potent my eyes were stinging too! As for the plumping? The irritation caused enough swelling to give me a temporary plump look that died down after a few hours. And my lips seemed to grow immune to it over a short period of time.

So maybe you have thin lips. Or maybe you like the fuller Angelina Jolie look. And maybe you don’t believe in or can’t afford a cosmetic procedure. If you’ve been using these bee sting plumpers, I’ve got a better one for you. This one doesn’t sting – doesn’t even tingle – and lasts all day long. Erno Laszlo’s TranspHuse Lip pHixative from their Surgiceutical’s line. This line of products is aimed at getting cosmetic procedure results, but from a cosmetic product.

This lip plumper comes in a generously sized rollerball tube. The formula rolls on in a thin layer that is moisturizing and has a hint of shine. Right away I can see and feel a bit of added plump to my lips. I won’t give you any false claims here – no Angelina Jolie pout. Just a bit of extra fullness. I’ve been using the product in the morning under my lipstick and think the results are great. The first day I wore it, I watched carefully to see when the plumping effect would wear off and missed when it happened. I didn’t notice the second day either. Then I skipped the product for a few days – that’s when I realized that I hadn’t missed the point the plumping disappeared. It didn’t disappear at all! It took a day of non-wear for my lips to return to normal.

How do they do it? The website says, “softens fine lip lines with dermaxyl peptide complex and plumps your pout with marine filling spheres.” Did you get that? Me neither. But I like what I see and I’m going to continue to use it.
