Glowing for Glowology

Glowology LotionLadies: you know how it is when you wear something super-soft (silk, satin, faux fur, etc.), right? You’re constantly touching the fabric and enjoying the softness – like we did with lucky rabbits’ feet as kids (I know that’s terribly un-p.c. now…). Anyway, I recently had that experience with Glowology Hydrating Hand Wash and Nourishing Hand Lotion. My hands were so silky; I was rubbing them together all day! In fact, Glowology’s Hydrating Hand Wash and Nourishing Hand Lotion are some of my favorite products I’ve tried this year.

On principle, I tend to scrutinize higher-priced items a little more closely; I want BIE readers to get the most bang for their bucks, therefore if something requires more bucks, it had better deliver a lot of bang. So when I got the Glowology Hydrating Hand Wash ($18.00) and Nourishing Hand Lotion ($22.00), I was prepared to be very critical. However, I have to give high marks on all fronts: packaging, scent, feel and ingredients. First, the package: The design is refined and simple with whimsical pink flowers drawn around the bottle and navy blue print. At 12ozs each, you get plenty of product. I tend to avoid overly sweet scents but this is a slightly sweet, unmistakably feminine scent. The Glowology press release says: “The signature Glowology scent was created especially for those who are usually irritated by fragrance, eliminating known irritants and using only skin-friendly scents.”

However, the parts that make this product such a winner are the feel and ingredients. As I said, my hands felt like absolute silk after just one washing. As a new mom trying to keep my baby and myself safe from all of the icky nasties out there this season, I wash my hands very frequently. The wash and lotion are designed to stay gentle on your skin, even in frequent was environments. In fact, while out running errands and washing my hands on the go, the softness and light scent of my Glowology from home stayed all day. Both the wash and lotion are free of phthalates, sulfates and parabens and are hypoallergenic. With skin-friendly ingredients like silk protein, Vitamin E, lavender, and sweet almond oil, my love affair with Glowology is made complete by both the ingredients included and the ones deliberately left out.

So, despite my desire to criticize $40 worth of hand products, I can’t! I’m just glowing for Glowology and am looking forward to trying some of their other products. You can find their whole range of women’s and baby body products at: www.glowologyskincare.com
