Oh the Scent of Zensation – Zensation Hydrating Moisture Cream

As someone who is constantly on the hunt for a good daily moisturizer, I have to say I’m happy with Zensation Hydrating Moisture Cream ($85 at www.zensationbeaute.com). It hits all of my personal criteria: SPF 15, no harmful preservatives, smells divine, and it gives good moisture without clogging my pores.

Let’s start with the last one first: THE Moisture. At 28, I no longer need astringent-type “moisturizers” that mostly leave my skin feeling pulled tight and promise serious zit-zappin’ action; however, I also am not quite at the point where I need to goop on tons of moisturizer that’ll make my foundation run and my skin feel greasy. The Zensation Hydrating Moisture Cream seems to hit that perfect sweet spot: moisturizing without clogging my pores and softening without pulling my skin tight. By the end of a workday, my makeup hasn’t budged and my skin still looks refreshed and bright.

With two key ingredients being Lavender Oil and Roman Chamomile Oil, you know that the smell is going to be nice. It’s herbal, light and fresh: the scent equivalent of a cool cup of lightly sweetened ice tea (with a gentle squeeze of lemon) on a hot summer afternoon. I now look forward to my morning application of moisturizer along with my morning cup of coffee – and that is saying a lot because I really look forward to my morning cup of coffee!

Final Verdict? I’m a fan the product and, thus far, so is my skin. $85 is steep for a daily moisturizer, but a little goes a long way with this product and I do love the smell.
