Banish Dry Skin With Zensation Nourishing Silky Night Cream

My skin has done a weird about face in the last few months. It’s gone from oily and acne-prone to dry, flaky and still slightly acne prone. After years of avoiding products for dry skin, I’ve been trying everyone I can get my hands on. It’s still a tough balance to strike, finding a cream that is moisturizing enough without being greasy or causing breakouts.

The latest to come across my vanity is Zensation’s Nourishing Silky Night Cream. This pot of cream comes in some seriously cute packaging, with a scooping spatula to help avoid contamination (the product is free of harmful preservatives, alcohol, colorants, synthetic fragrance, mineral oil and parabens).

The cream itself is very rich and smells lightly of lavender – a nice bonus just before bedtime. The scientific description on the box, boils down to saying that it will help repair age-related skin damage, smooth wrinkles and decrease the skins water loss. I liked the ingredients list that contains vitamins A and E, lupin, wheat germ, lavender, sunflower seed and roman chamomile oils, along with shea butter.

The cream goes on easily and mostly absorbed. It left a light sheen on my skin, which for night time isn’t really a big deal. I definitely soothed the dry, itchy spots. In the morning, my skin was a bit greasy, but didn’t experience any breakouts. And indeed the cream is labeled for all skin types. At $100 for 1.7oz (50ml), it’s definitely a splurge. After only a few uses, I can’t attest to any of it’s claims except that of being a really good night moisturizer. And if you’ve been searching for something to help your dry skin, the splurge may just be worth it.
