A Tropical Escape: Saffron James Perfumes

I would loooove to go to Hawaii, but that kind of trip isn’t really in the budget right now. But there are little things we can do to help transport us there in our minds – like use Saffron James Perfumes. This little line of tropically inspired fragrances uses essential oils and is free of parabens and preservatives. And the huile de perfum mini roller bottles are super travel friendly. Traveling to a local a little less than tropical this summer? You can throw one of these in your bag and pretend you are island bound.

I checked out the latest addition to the line: ipo. Ipo means Sweetheart and is made with scents of pakalana flower (commonly referred to as the chinese violet), moroccan rose, orange blossom, tahitian gardenia and lemongrass. The book-like box that the fragrance is packaged in tells the story that “an ancient Chinese tale contends that a troop of savage warriors once seized an enemy castle but that night the aromatic powers of this dusk-blooming flower over took them and by morning the enchanting fragrance had inspired such tranquility, they inexplicably abandoned their conquest.”

The scent is light and refreshing. And the rollerball topped bottle is super convenient to use. A $1 of every product is donated back to the cultural and environmental preservation’s of Hawaii (so hopefully it’ll be just as incredible when I finally do get to go, as it is today). The other scents in the line are:

LE’A (Joy) with pink and white plumeria, pineapple leaf, passionflower and hibiscus

NANI (Beauty) with pīkake, pink plumeria, mimosa, lily and ylang ylang

PŪNONO (To Blush) with ylang ylang, pikake, carnation, vanilla and tunisian opium

‘UME (To Attract) with ginger absolute, waterlily, gardenia, yuzu and mousse de chene
