As a busy mom, I could use a facial to help my tired face look a little less tired. But I also don’t have the time to go to the spa. I’ve check out a couple of great at home mask products, which worked great, but were pretty pricey. Satin Smooth’s Ultimate Collagen Mask Collection is finally offering a less expensive version of these one use masks, along with some lip, eye and neck specific products. I checked out a few and loved the results!
If you haven’t worn these one use masks before, you’ve got to check them out. I find them a little odd and some can be tricky to use. Basically it is a mask made out of a material that is soaked in the treatment (usually a gel). You apply the mask to your face, lining up the eye, nose and mouth holes, recline and relax for about 10 minutes and then remove the mask. The idea is that the mask helps keep the active ingredients applied to the skin without them drying out during the treatment time.
Satin Smooth’s line uses milk and honey to exfoliate and hydrate the skin, aloe, vitamin E, vitamin C, and rose oil to moisturize and marine-based collagen serum to plump and firm skin.
The “pricest” of the offerings is the Ultimate Collagen Face Lift. At $5 each, they are the best deal you’re going to find. The full face mask comes in two sections and is worn for 10 15 minutes while you relax. This was hands down the easiest to wear mask I’ve used. Even thought it was slippery and a little tricky to apply, like most of these masks are, once it was on, it didn’t drip or run into my eyes or mouth. I was able to recline and read a book for 15 minutes because the eye holes lined up perfectly with my eyes and the mask stayed put (no sliding at all!). Having the mask come in two pieces made it a whole lot easier to put on and taking it off was a snap. Just peel it off, rub the remaining gel into the skin and you’re all set. I did the mask before bed and just needed a light moisturizer after. My skin looked plumped, felt soft and had great color. The results lasted well into the next few days.
The line also offers a Neck Lift treatment (which I haven’t tried), Eye Lifts that ring the eyes, Under Eye Lifts that go under the eye and a Lip Plump that is applied over the mouth. All were as easy to use as the Face Lift mask. The only trickiness was getting the Eye Lifts applied around the eyes while my eyes were closed and remembering to keep my mouth closed while using the Lip Plump. The eye treatments did a great job of “awakening” my eye area and the lip plump really smoothed out and subtly plumped my lips.

How many times do I use the undereye lift in a week?
