Celebrity makeup artist Chantal Moore offers these tips:
-For super-straight lashes, curl before and after applying mascara, just
make sure the mascara has dried.
-The keep glitter eye makeup in place, blend loose glitter with water and
eye shadow and apply it first so you can clean up the inevitable extra
sparkle after.
-For perfect liquid liner, choose one with a really thin brush and practice
keeping a steady hand.
-When applying fake lashes, put one coat of mascara on before and another
coat after to blend your real lashes in with the fakes. For individual
lashes, use tweezers and let the glue dry a little before applying so it¹s
tacky.
-When doing a strong makeup element, like a bold lipstick color or dramatic
eye, apply it first so you don¹t overdo the rest of your face.
-Try applying pure Aloe Vera gel while skin is still moist, like after a
shower, as a deep moisturizer for dry skin.
I was sorting through my overflowing cabinet of beauty products the other day and refound my bottle of Rusk Design Series Sheer Brilliance Polisher. Hooray! I love this product and I’m not quite sure how it got lost in the first place. This lightweight, nice smelling gloss is a dream come true for my hair. It worked well when it was short (didn’t weigh it down) as well as when it is long.
This product has worked as many products for me: defrizzer, smoother, glosser, leave-in conditioner and heat styling protector. And it only takes a few drops to do the trick. I’ve applied it to wet hair before styling and dry hair alike and the results are great both way. The finish is soft, not sticky, and leaves a great light fruity/floral scent. I don’t have curly hair, so I can’t be sure, but I think it’d work great on defining curly hair too.

- “Fashion shows put the stamp on thicker brows, and that’s one of the
reasons why New Brow [her claim to fame product] is such a great success.”
- “People have been over plucking for years and now they want their brows
thicker, so they are trying to grow them.”
- “If you have someone who wants a new shape, tell them to go step by step,
growing one row at a time. They need to build up to that look (thicker
brows). It’s about baby steps.”
I know this isn’t a new product, but I unearthed a tin of this balm in the back of my desk drawer recently and fell in love all over again.

This cuticle cream is very thick - almost hard and really requires you rub your warm finger into it to get out an application. But I like that. I’ve had the same small tin for years and it’s not even half used yet. I also don’t have to worry about it spilling or melting in my purse and it can be taken on airplanes without security having to check it out first.
This balm definitely smells fresh and lemony as the name implies. It works great on cuticles and really any dry spot. I like to spread it all over my hands in the winter when I’m either lacking hand lotion or am feeling extra dry.
And you have to love any product that is all natural and made by a company that is comitted to the environment and sustainable business practices. Do good for your cuticles and the earth and spread on some of this yummy balm.
