With the plethera of skin care products available out there, it’s hard to try to decide what to buy for your skin. I don’t want to spend money on some fancy moisturizer that ends up clogging my pores or a face mask so strong that it causes irritation. I really like products that are clearly marked about what they will do for my skin and found that DermaDoctor.com has some great tools to help me find the right products. They make their own line of products, as well as sell drugstore and specialty products. I love their handy tools. The DermaWizard which points you in the right direction based on a series of questions about the condition you want to treat, like acne or stretch marks. I was reading Cosmo’s Beauty Awards in the October issue and saw some great products I want to try. I love the idea of having readers test out the products so I can know whats best to try amongst all the products offered out there. I’m always on the hunt for a scrub that’ll help clear up my skin, but that doesn’t irritate my skin with large grain. So I’m going to try the Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub which has a very fine scrub and also helps even out blotchiness and improves your skin’s moisture barrier.
As we head out of summer, I’m keeping my eye out for the latest subtle bronzer products to help keep me from looking like a pasty ghost, but not look like I got a bad fake tan. The new Fresh High Noon Freshface Glow says that “delivers a hint of sun-kissed glow and soft radiance to all skin tones.” Sounds pretty foolproof to me!
I’ve also seen a lot of press about the tarte fRxtion lip scuff & balm which looks like a lipstick divided down the middle with a sugar scrub on one side and a moisturizing balm on the other. I don’t know about you, but I’m plagued by flaky lips as the days get cooler - maybe it’s all the dry, heated air in the winter. This tube from tarte looks like it should be pretty portable too and comes with a cute flip up mirror in the lid, so to can buff away the flakes anytime, anywhere!
