Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color does dry lightning fast. Plus it comes in some of the seasons hottest dark shades. I’m loving Blazing Blue (very dark blue), Night Flight (inky black) and my favorite Uptempo Plum (rich royal purple). Not only does the polish dry in a snap, the color is so rich, you only need one coat (an amazing feat where dark polish is concerned) and the double wide brush makes application as fast as two swipes per nail.

The thing that took the longest about this manicure was waiting for a base coat to dry (a must with dark polish) and cleaning up my messy handiwork around the edges with a q-tip dipped in polish remover.  The end result? I look and feel a fierce! (Now off to day care to drop of my daughter before heading to work in a turtleneck sweater. Yeah mommy, you’re still a bad ass!)

After a day of wear, my mani was waning. It’s not looking very shiny and the tips have all worn off (you know that thing where you nails become like crayons, leaving marks whenever they brush paper?). But it was fun for the day and came off quickly and easily with regular polish remover. When you put less than 5 minutes into a full manicure, having it last only a day is really no big deal.
